Bistro Richard @ Sentul KLPAC

I was looking for a cozy yet comfy fine dining restaurant in the net that day, then I happened to know about this restaurant at Sentul. Speaking of Sentul, is there any good food there ??? I actually doubt so at first...
This restaurant I am going to blog is BISTRO RICHARD, one hidden dragon in KLPAC.

Bistro Richard is a French cuisine restaurant, serving food specially made by their chef Mr. Richard. From appetizer to main course and dessert, every dish is touched up with some French sensation.

Here's a little of something we tried out that night...
Cream of Wild Mushroom- something light before our main course

Huge portion of Fish & Chips with loads of fries

Chicken Chop Maryland - butter fried chicken breast with pan fried banana slice

Coq Au Vin - A plate of braised chicken with red wine burgundy, bacons and mushroom

Oven Roast Salmon with lemon sauce
Every portion served are very generous. A great meal definitely made our night remarkable. Not to forget that great companion are the ones that put colours on the pictures. I was overwhelmed by the food, the laughters and companion. Is been a while...

Did I mention that their restaurant is also facing towards a lake. Basically is like a lakeside restaurant, it somehow fulfills my defintion of romantic, which is having candlelight dinner by the lake and enjoy the cool breeze at night.
Pic taken from the web.

Yeap, I had a haircut !!! After so long......

Call them for any party, functions or gathering .
Feel free to visit their websites too : http://www.bistrorichard.com/

Bon Odori 2013

The annual Bon Odori event held by the Japan Club of Kuala Lumpur (JCKL) is back to town once again. Like usual, it is held at the Panasonic Kompleks Shah Alam. This year, there is a special display of fireworks to commemorate JCKL's 50th anniversary.

For some extra information, Obon (お盆) or just Bon (盆) is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the spirits of one's ancestors. This Buddhist-Confucian custom has evolved into a family reunion holiday during which people return to ancestral family places and visit and clean their ancestors' graves, and when the spirits of ancestors are supposed to revisit the household altars. It has been celebrated in Japan for more than 500 years and traditionally includes a dance, known as Bon-Odori.

How do we celebrate it in Malaysia ? Basically, large crowds will dance in a circle around the wooden stage. Usually, the Japanese expatriates and some Malaysians will dress up the Japanese traditional attire - Yukata to watch the fully enthusiastic drum performance and participate in the dance.

All kinds of Japanese delicacies are available at the stalls set up on the festival grounds. I could say that some of the food are really good though, but don't expect much due to the long queues and massive quantities they have to produce.

 Sake Bloom !!!

A beautiful night without a beer is never perfect. Cheers peeps !!!

The traditional Unagi rice. This tastes really good.

Durian pancakes Scrumptious, simply delicating and rich with durian fillings.

The macho Japanese boys.

By the way, did I mention about admission is FREE??? Yes, that's right it is free, so just come by and hang around next year and enjoy this joyful Japanese cultural event. Bon Odori opens at 5pm and ends at 9pm. I am sure you would enjoy with the food, beers, atmosphere and the girls dressed up in the traditional attire.

JCKL will provide free shuttle bus services between Shah Alam KTM station and Kompleks Sukan Negara from 4pm to 11pm. Those who are interested can contact JCKL for more information or check out www.jckl.org.my

Bangsar Date @Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf & @Les Deux Garcons

I have to admit that when it comes to holiday, I never fail to procrastinate...urgh, how I hate it when I have tons of works during the holidays...I mean holidays are when we have time to relax ourselves, be prepared for the upcoming challenges, some catch-up session with family and friends. Speaking of catching up, it has  been quite a while for us to meet up. When we do, we would always settle down ourselves with great food!!!

Becca & Vivian
Is been a while since we meet up, the last time was also at Bangsar. Hmm, both of us have a thing for Bangsar, I guess ???

Been hearing bout Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf  for quite some time finally I got her, my date tonight along with me to visit one of the bedtimes story restaurant. So, the wolf huff and puff us all the way to Bangsar Village. A gentle reminder that this is a non-halal restaurant.

Grilled Pork Pesto Pasta ** YUMMY!!!

Pork Kebab
We both love the pork kebab. It was saute with homemade sauce and grilled perfectly. Giving it a 8/10 for this dish. Pesto was equally good, in fact I was amazed with the combination. This was my first time trying pork and pesto, normally it would be seafood.

Definitely this wasn't the end for the night...
Ever heard of Les Deux Garcons ??? They sell cakes, macaroons, coffee and tea...

Salted Caramel, Chocolate & Passion, Framboise,  Pistachio, Lemon Vanilla, Coffee Hazelnut

I love the macaroons fillings but somehow I find it not chewy enough...hmm, and just slightly sweet for me. Maybe because I normally cut down my sugar intake...
